Lifeguard
Architect William Lane originally designed 5 towers in 1995 to replace the ones that were lost during Hurricane Andrew. They quickly become synonymous with the heart and soul of the city—inspired by the Art Deco movement along with vibrant Caribbean culture and South Florida’s flora and fauna. In 2020, William Lane reimagined his original designs with this newer series of lifeguard towers.
This series was shot during the COVID lockdown, a rare event when the beaches were closed to the public.
